A trio of senior officials announced that Greece plans to spend more than 25 billion euros on the purchase of weapons.
One of the officials noted: "This is an important step for the modernization of Greece's armed forces and preparation for any possible threats that the country may face."
Another representative added: "The purchase of new weapons will help support the country's defense capability and ensure the safety of national interests in the region."
A third official emphasized: "This investment allows Greece to strengthen its defense and make it more reliable in the increasingly complex political situation."
