The Greek police stated that 41 undocumented migrants were found in a refrigerated container on a truck in northern Greece. The migrants were discovered during a routine inspection operation in the Khurina area near the borders of Turkey.
The police clarified that the migrants, including children, were suffering from heat exhaustion in a critical condition. They were transferred to a local hospital for necessary treatment.
A representative of the Greek migration management said that an investigation will be opened to identify the circumstances of the incident, noting that the driver of the truck has been arrested.
