Greek police have arrested a 58-year-old Polish man suspected of spying on the U.S. military base on the island of Crete, days after a Georgian man was detained on similar charges, according to ANA news agency. Sources report the Pole is suspected of photographing ships entering the base in Crete. On March 2, a Georgian man was arrested on the same charges. The U.S. aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford, the world's largest, used this base on its way to the Middle East in late February, prior to the U.S.-Israeli attack on Iran. The suspect has denied the allegations.
